Voodoo Brewing Company wanted bold murals across several of their brewery locations to strengthen brand recognition, create standout photo spots, and turn each space into a memorable destination featuring the brewery’s edgy, vibrant aesthetic. Voodoo is known for its playful, artistic atmosphere and award-winning craft beers, and these murals played directly into that identity.

Challenge and Approach

Voodoo needed murals that were visually vibrant and instantly on-brand while tailored to the feel of each specific location. I led the development of designs inspired by Voodoo’s iconic beer labels and quirky personality, working closely with their creative director, franchise owners, and lead artist Tom Ness to develop concepts that remained consistent with the brand while fitting each unique space.

Across three locations, I served as the project manager for the mural installations. I coordinated design approvals, paint orders, travel logistics for Reno, NV and Colorado Springs, CO, and on-site execution timelines. For other locations, I painted solo murals or brand elements that reinforced Voodoo’s visual identity. Max Gonzales collaborated on design adaptations and execution at three of the sites, helping translate the brand’s graphic language into large-scale murals that function as social hubs and photo-worthy experiences.

Impact

These murals have become focal points within each brewery, increasing social media engagement by giving patrons bold, immersive spaces to interact with. They have enhanced the customer experience and helped each location stand out as both a gathering place and a visual extension of Voodoo’s creative energy. By turning interiors, exteriors, and even bathrooms into thoughtfully branded environments, the work has contributed to stronger local identity and guest connection at every stop.
